Police in Esch-sur-Alzette responded to a reported burglary at a single-family home on Rue Gaston Barbanson on Monday afternoon. Officers arrived promptly and arrested a suspect inside the property.
Authorities confirmed the individual was already wanted under an existing arrest warrant. Following a medical examination, the suspect was transferred to Schrassig Prison.
In a separate incident early Monday night, police detained an intoxicated intruder on Rue de Beringen in Mersch. The suspect had entered the private grounds of a residence before being confronted by a homeowner.
Upon arrest, the individual became verbally abusive and uncooperative with officers. After medical evaluation, they were held in custody overnight to sober up.
