
A fire broke out in an unoccupied construction site on Rue Françoise Groben in Niederkorn early Friday morning, prompting a multi-hour response from emergency services.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) received the alarm at 5.36am, despatching units from Sanem-Differdange, Käerjeng-Pétange, Rumelange, and Esch-sur-Alzette. Firefighters brought the blaze under control by approximately 10am.
Authorities confirmed the house, still under construction, was uninhabited at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire, with the technical section of the criminal police deployed to the scene.
