A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a lorry occurred on Wednesday morning on the CR132 near Eschweiler in the municipality of Junglinster.
The accident took place at around 9.30am when, for reasons still under investigation, the lorry struck the motorcycle. The rider, a 67-year-old man from Blaschette, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Emergency services responded promptly and attempted resuscitation, but their efforts were unsuccessful. The CR132 remained closed for much of the day between Gonderange and Eschweiler as authorities conducted their investigation.
Forensic police were deployed to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
