CIS-Larochette reported that the accident occurred around 1.50pm on Sunday afternoon in rue de Medernach. The car hit the wall of the bridge and came to a halt diagonally across the road.
Emergency services said that the woman and her baby were lucky to come away without injuries, but they were taken to hospital for a check-up after the accident.
The incident was attended by CIS-Larochette ambulance service, and the fire service from Medernach.
