
The Luxembourg tourism development agency has enlisted the help of social media influencers to develop the campaign, titled "Luxembourg for Tourism". The campaign is aimed at young Chinese tourists looking to explore Europe, hoping to entice them into adding Luxembourg to their list of destinations.
12 influencers shared their experiences on social media across 2 days to their Chinese followers, which numbered around 70 million between them. Photos, videos and livestreams were shared on the Chinese platforms Weibo and Yizhi, attracting millions of clicks and likes. Luxembourg for Tourism organised the campaign alongside other Luxembourg partners such as Wallonia and ETC.
Luxembourg was not the only country participating in this action. Over the course of the next week, the influencers will visit 18 different destinations across Europe, before promoting them as ideal holiday destinations back home in China.
