Luxembourg police responded to reports of an armed person at Rodange railway station shortly after 12.30pm on Wednesday. Multiple patrol units were immediately deployed to the scene and located the individual.
Authorities confirmed the weapon was an air pistol, according to an official police statement. The suspect allegedly became uncooperative during the encounter, verbally abusing officers.
Following orders from the public prosecutor’s office, police filed an incident report and confiscated the weapon. Due to the individual’s heavy intoxication and disruptive behaviour, officers placed the person in custody following a medical assessment.
