The Luxembourg Independent Audiovisual Authority (ALIA), which is coordinating the official electoral campaign, has informed RTL that a large majority of parties presenting a list for the European elections has agreed to accept the usage of French as well as Luxembourgish for electoral messages broadcast on RTL Radio Lëtzebuerg and RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg.
As underlined in the press release, RTL's aim has always been to apply and respect the rules agreed with the parties.
Consequently RTL will broadcast all electoral messages corresponding to the new rules with immediate effect.
