Police in Luxembourg have apprehended a minor following a false bomb threat made Friday at Lycée Michel Lucius in Limpertsberg.

Shortly after a bomb threat targeted Lycée Michel Lucius in Limpertsberg on Friday, police identified and apprehended a young suspect.

Authorities launched an immediate investigation into the incident, which led to the rapid identification of a minor responsible for what was determined to be a false alarm.

The case has been assigned to the youth protection department of the Luxembourg public prosecutor's office.

In a statement, the prosecutor's office emphasised that false alerts cause significant disruption and, due to their seriousness, constitute a criminal offence under the penal code, leaving those responsible liable to legal action.
