Recent testing has shown that the water quality in Strassen is too poor for consumption and residents are advised to not consume any tap water until further notice.
On Friday, the Strassen municipality announced that analyses carried out on its water network had revealed poor bacteriological quality.
The water "does not meet the standards in place for water intended for human consumption," the municipality wrote after receiving the results of the analyses carried out by the state services.
To avoid any health risks, residents are advised:
- not to drink tap water and, if necessary, to boil it for two minutes before using it for cooking or drinking;
- not to use it to wash fruit and vegetables that are eaten raw.
The municipality's technical services are working to resolve this quality issue.
