This weekend, police carried out speed checks on the A3 towards Luxembourg City and on the A13 towards Esch. Several warnings were issued.
On Sunday, speed checks were conducted on the A3 heading toward Luxembourg City, just before the Gluck roundabout, between noon and 1pm. Two drivers were caught driving at 127 km/h and had their licenses immediately revoked. In addition, seven warnings were issued for speeding violations exceeding 25 km/h over the limit.
Later that evening, a third license was revoked. Police responded to a report of a vehicle swerving in Moesdorf. The driver was stopped and tested positive for alcohol, leading to the immediate withdrawal of their license.
On Saturday, between 8.15 and 11.15am, speed checks had already been carried out on the A13 towards Esch-sur-Alzette, near the Ehlerange tunnel. In total, 15 warnings were issued, each resulting in a €145 fine and two points. The drivers had all been traveling more than 25 km/h over the 90 km/h speed limit.
