This season opener of Mom Life in Luxembourg dives into hidden parks, unforgettable staycatiations, and splash-worthy pools with a local parenting guru!
Welcome back, dear readers, to the 3rd Trimester of “Mom Life in Luxembourg!” We took a little break for the month of May, but are back and ready to rock and roll until the end of the school year! It’s the final stretch, people! Six weeks to go!!
From creches to cremant, this podcast is dedicated to helping parents raise kids and live their best life in the Grand Duchy.
With my best life and more specifically summer on my mind, I was so happy to bring in my guest this week. Luxembourg may be one of the smallest countries in Europe, but it offers a treasure trove of family-friendly activities. We are really spoiled for nice parks and scenic day trips. The only problem is knowing how to find them, especially if you’re new(ish) to the country.
In our latest episode, we welcome an extraordinary content creator, Maude from the '@you.are.family' Instagram and TikTok accounts, who takes us on a journey through Luxembourg's best-kept secrets for families. Maude takes us behind the scenes of her natural parenting journey. What started as a personal endeavor to find engaging activities for her daughter has blossomed into an invaluable resource for parents in Luxembourg and beyond. Having amassed over 9,000 followers on Instagram, our guest shares her experiences, tips, and even some roadblocks she's encountered along the way.
I asked her to give me her top five picks for the best parks for kids in Luxembourg. She said she couldn’t pick just five because there are too many good ones all over the country. Maude likes to organise by geography, so we narrowed it down to the top five best ones in the city, keeping in mind that summer is coming and the weather is warming up. I loved that she was able to reference which parks are the “freshest” with substantial tree cover, aka nature’s air conditioning.
Of course, if you want to know which ones they are, you’ll have to tune in to the show! I also asked her about the best places for day trips/staycations to do with little ones that are either within Luxembourg or within a couple hour’s drive. I was pleased to say that I had never heard of any of her recommended spots, and I have been living here (and trying to explore with my own kids) for almost three years now! And then finally, because I love to swim, I had to ask her about her picks for the best pools for families in Luxembourg as well.
This episode is a must-listen for anyone aiming to enrich their family time with memorable outings and discover the unadvertised gems Luxembourg has to offer.
