Casa Luxembourg has filed for bankruptcy, leaving 35 people without a job across the decoration retailer's eight Luxembourg locations, trade union LCGB announced on Friday.

The Luxembourg Christian Trade Union Confederation (LCGB) announced on Friday the bankruptcy of furniture and decoration retailer Casa. All shops in the Grand Duchy will be closing their doors, with 35 employees affected by the decision.

The closure follows the liquidation of Casa’s Belgian parent company in March this year. Since then, the union has been in discussions to find a solution for the 35 employees affected in Luxembourg. LCGB is supporting those impacted, including by helping them look for new jobs.
