At around 10am on Friday, a delivery driver realised his mobile phone had been stolen from his van while he made a delivery on Rue Erasme, Kirchberg. Just two hours later, another delivery driver had his phone stolen in the same manner while on Boulevard Royal. This time, the thief or thieves also took his wallet from the vehicle.
Police have issued advice on protecting one's belongings in the car from thieves on their website.
In Bertrange, a security guard at a shopping centre on Route de Longwy reported three men who had stolen from one of the shops the day before. The men were intercepted by police at a bus stop in Bertrange, and two were identified in relation to the shoplifting incident. One of them was also found in possession of an item of clothing still bearing the price label.
