Alternative Democratic Reform Party (ADR) deputy Fernand Kartheiser is travelling to Moscow on Sunday to take part in discussions with Russian politicians. When he shared his post on X on Friday, the MP was already engaged in dialogue with representatives of the Duma on the platform.
In response to RTL’s enquiry, the MP confirmed that he is indeed departing for Moscow on Sunday, having been invited by the Duma – the Russian legislative assembly and lower house of the Federal Assembly.
The discussions set to take place in the Russian parliament are supposedly centred on bilateral relations, the situation in Ukraine, human rights and international politics.
Fernand Kartheiser has, on multiple occasions, expressed his disagreement with the European Parliament’s position that views Russia as the instigator of the war. In an interview mid-April, the MP had asserted Europe was still supporting the stance of former US President Biden.
