Luxembourg City welcomed 190,000 visitors to its main tourist office in 2024, with German travellers comprising the largest group and the Grand Ducal Palace tours selling out completely, according to new tourism data.

Luxembourg City's tourism sector saw strong performance in 2024, with approximately 190,000 visitors stopping by the main tourist information centre on Place Guillaume II, according to the latest figures from the Luxembourg City Tourist Office.

German tourists comprised the largest visitor group, followed by travellers from France, the Netherlands, and domestic visitors.

German-language guided tours proved most popular, accounting for the majority of the 4,500 organised tours through the capital's historic sites.

The Grand Ducal Palace remained a premier destination, with its 450 guided tours of decorated state rooms completely booked and attracting 9,800 visitors.

Meanwhile, the historic Casemates celebrated a milestone shortly before New Year's, welcoming their 200,000th visitor to the renowned fortress tunnels.
