On Saturday evening, the Grand Ducal Police were informed by their Belgian colleagues that a man had kidnapped his ex-girlfriend and their child across the border.

He was reportedly traveling from Belgium toward Germany, and the Luxembourg police managed to intervene quickly by stopping the car in Martelange.

By order of the public prosecutor's office, the man was arrested and is scheduled to appear before the investigating judge on Sunday afternoon.
