Princess Claire was born on 21 March 1985 in Filderstadt, Germany. She is the second child of Hartmut and Gabriele Lademacher.
At the age of 11, Princess Claire moved with her family to Atlanta, where she spent her formative years before returning to Germany in 1999. She later pursued her studies in Paris, earning a bachelor's degree in international communications.
In December 2012, she became engaged to Prince Félix of Luxembourg. The couple married on 21 September 2013, at which time Claire received the title of "Her Royal Highness Princess Claire." Together, they have three children: Princess Amalia Gabriela Maria Teresa, born on 15 June 2014; Prince Liam Henri Hartmut, born on 28 November 2016; and Prince Balthasar Felix Karl, born on 7 January 2024.
