The authorities report three incidents of drink driving between Sunday evening and Monday morning.
A first case occurred between Machtum and Niederdonven, where police officers responded to a report of a suspected drunk driver. Upon arrival, the driver was found to have a high blood alcohol level, resulting in the confiscation of their license.
Later that night, police stopped a driver on rue de la Tour in Diekirch after observing the car repeatedly speeding and crossing into oncoming traffic. A breathalyser test confirmed the driver's levels were too high, and their license was revoked on the spot.
A final license was revoked after a drunk driver caused damages to two parked cars on rue Eugene Wolff in Hamm. Here, the driver hit one car before crashing into the other. The authorities were able to identify the perpetrator and confirm their alcohol levels before revoking their license.
