Four individuals were arrested inside a Mondercange home during a burglary on Friday evening, after police responded to a report and found them at the scene with stolen property.

On Friday evening, police in Mondercange apprehended four burglary suspects inside a home on Rue de Neudorf.

A patrol was despatched to the scene shortly before 9pm after a burglary was reported and discovered the suspects still inside the property.

A subsequent body search revealed that all four individuals were in possession of stolen goods.

Following the orders of the public prosecutor's office, the suspects were taken into custody and brought before an examining magistrate on Saturday morning.

Additional burglaries

The arrest in Mondercange followed a series of similar break-ins in the region on Friday. Earlier that afternoon, a detached house on Rue des Celtes in Merl was targeted, with the perpetrators believed to have entered through a patio door.

Later that evening, another detached house, this time on Rue des Pépinières in Wasserbillig, was broken into via a window and subsequently ransacked.

In both cases, police have not confirmed if any items were stolen.
