On Saturday afternoon a police troupe patrolling the Parking du Port in Remich was stopped by an elderly man, whose credit card had just been stolen.

The man told the officers that he had just parked his car, when a man came to his car and spoke to him in French. The culprit asked the elderly man to borrow his credit car to buy a parking ticket, since he only had coins with him.

Thus the victim wanted to show the man that there is no need for a parking ticket on weekends, so he accompanied him to the ticket machine. For illustration purposes he inserted his card into the machine, to show that parking was free. However, upon taking out the card the thief ripped the elderly man’s card from his hands and ran away.

When the officials filed a report for the victim’s charges, they discovered that the culprit had already proceeded to use the card twice.
