Train traffic on CFL's line 10, the Northern line, came to a halt for about one hour on Friday morning due to a technical issue.
The Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL) reported just before 6am on Friday that a "technical issue" at the Ettelbruck control centre led to a complete stoppage of trains in both directions between Dommeldange and Lorentzweiler.
At around 7am, CFL reported that the incident in Ettelbruck had been resolved and that train service is "gradually resuming." Nevertheless, delays and cancellations may still occur, according to the railway company.
To mitigate the disruption, CFL introduced a replacement bus service running between Dommeldange and Mersch, serving all intermediate stops.
