On Tuesday afternoon, at around 3.30pm, a fire broke out on Route d'Esch in Mondercange, according to police reports.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing explosions resembling fireworks shortly before the blaze began. The police confirmed the occurrence of a fire following enquiries.
 
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) reported that an explosion had occurred inside a house. The CGDIS deployed 80 personnel to the scene. Upon arrival, the emergency services found a garage fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to a neighbouring house. Firefighters acted swiftly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to additional properties.
