Police apprehended several drink-drivers over the weekend, with incidents occurring on both Saturday and Sunday nights.

One significant arrest happened in Esch-sur-Alzette on Saturday afternoon. Officers stopped a vehicle on Rue du Canal that appeared "badly damaged." Upon inspecting the driver, they detected signs of alcohol consumption, which were confirmed by a blood alcohol test. The driver's licence was subsequently revoked.

On Saturday night, police responded to an accident on the CR141 between Wasserbillig and Mompach. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver lost control on a bend, collided with a road sign, and ended up in a ditch. The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. A blood alcohol test conducted post-accident was positive.

Later that same night, a police patrol noticed a vehicle driving erratically near "Kayler Poteau"towards Esch-sur-Alzette. The vehicle was stopped shortly afterward. The driver exhibited signs of alcohol consumption and tested positive for alcohol. Their driving licence was also withdrawn.
