Visceral surgeon Dr Jacques Kayser has passed away, the Robert Schuman Hospitals have shared. Kayser had worked as a surgeon at the Zithaklinik since 1998.
Over the course of his career, Dr Kayser also served as a senior physician at the Lukaskrankenhaus in Neuss, Germany and as a senior registrar at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, Australia. Since 2009, he had also been president of the Luxembourg Visceral Surgeons. In simple terms, visceral surgery covers operations around the abdomen, stomach, and intestines.
On Facebook, the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman Hospitals offered their deepest condolences to Dr Kayser's family and paid tribute to his many years of commitment, empathy and humanity.
