Keeping us young, healthy, and assertive, getting us out of the house and into the countryside or swiftly from point A to B: bicycles are a ‘wheelie’ big part of life, and that deserves celebration.
The CFL, ProVelo.lu, Sightseeing.lu, The Happy Cyclist, and The Luxembourg Cycling Sports Federation are inviting the public to the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg funicular between 8am-3pm on Monday, 3 June.
The Happy Cyclist, a start-up that offers bike repairs on the road for private individuals and corporations, will organise a free repair café, giving valuable tips on how to adjust inner tubes, brakes, or change chains. Sessions are between 45-60 minutes long and no prior registration is needed.
Meanwhile, Sightseeing.lu offers 1-hour e-bike tours of Luxembourg City. With a maximum of 10 participants per session, the tour is completely free, again with no prior registration. The tours depart at 12pm, 12.30pm, and 1.30pm.
If you’re in the mood for a fresh juice, pedal away on the sports federation bikes: The pedals are connected to a juicer filled with fresh fruit. That’s between 11am-3pm.
Furthermore, ProVelo.lu shares useful insights into cycling in Luxembourg, and the CFL will give away 75 free registrations to use its bikeboxes around the country.
Don’t miss out on this fun event — let’s make it a chain reaction of biking celebration!
