The National Railway Company (CFL) has announced significant leadership changes effective 1 July, with Marc Hoffmann transitioning to infrastructure management director and Sophie Lacour taking over his previous role as director of passenger service activities.
On Monday, the directors' board of the National Railway Company (CFL) announced a number of leadership changes taking effect on 1 July. Marc Hoffmann, director of passenger service activities since 2008, is taking over as infrastructure management director from Henri Werdel, who has held the position since 2012.
Werdel, who started at CFL in 1987, will be responsible for infrastructure investments during a transitional phase. Once this phase is complete, Hoffmann will take over as head of both departments.
The position left by Hoffmann will be taken over by Sophie Lacour, whose CFL experience includes twelve years in the finance and controlling department, three years in the customer service quality department, and four years in charge of the quality department.
In both cases, CFL has opted for in-house solutions, which represent a dual challenge, as emphasised by Jeannot Waringo, chairman of the CFL directors' board. He vowed "to ensure the quality of passenger services and at the same time to develop infrastructure on a large scale".
