Due to election bidPascal Ricquier resigns from police syndicate

After ten years at the helm of the National Syndicate of the Grand Ducal Police (SNPGL), Pascal Ricquier is stepping down to focus on his campaign for the parliamentary elections, where he is running for the Christian Social People's Party (CSV).

According to a press release (LUX), Ricquier is stepping down as SNPGL president to guarantee the political independence of the union. He will do retroactively on 8 July, the day that his candidacy for the CSV was officially announed at a party congress.

The statement further reveals that the SNPGL’s administrative council will undergo a reshuffle in the near future.
