Thilgen received the second-most votes in the Consthum area during the 2017 elections, which earned him his first appointment to the municipal council of Parc Hosingen.
If approved by the Ministry, the 25-year-old politician will take over the position formerly held by Jos Degrand, who recently resigned due to personal reasons.
