Dutch energy company Anode, which provides Eida with electricity, declared bankruptcy on Monday.

Eida, who's slogan is 'energy revolt', provides green electricity and natural gas for its clients, but can no longer do so as of 14 December, the company announced on Monday. Following Anode's bankruptcy, they attempted to find an alternative provider, but remained unsuccessful.

Nevertheless, clients do not need to fear that they will be without electricity all of a sudden. The network will be taken over by Enovos without interruption, the statement further ensures.

Clients should be aware that they may face new prices however. Those with an electrical power supply lower than 400 volts will have time to find a new contract until June 2022. Those with higher supplies will already have to find an alternative by February next year.

While Eida is no longer able to provide electricity, they will continue offering natural gas, as well as their other services. The change will also affect the company's finances, which is why lay-offs may be unavoidable. Officials underlined however that they will try to reposition concerned employees.
