The Ministry of Finance made the announcement in a press release on Monday morning.

The agreement ensures that people who live in Germany but are employed in Luxembourg may continue working from home without any changes to their tax base.

Usually, the maximum number of teleworking days per year is set at 19.

Close to 50,000 German cross-border employees will be affected by the extension. Last week, Luxembourgish officials already signed a new cross-border agreement with their Belgian counterparts.
