A fire alarm is cause for rail traffic disruption at Luxembourg Station on Tuesday afternoon.

CFL confirmed to our colleagues over at 5minutes that a fire alarm went off at the station around 5.30pm. There was a fire in the underground area of the station and smoke will have triggered the alarm.

The incident briefly disrupted rail traffic on all lines as the station was evacuated. Later in the afternoon CFL communicated that traffic was resuming "gradually", but that delays are expected into the evening. Emergency services responded to the scene.
