According to Luxembourg's Portuguese news outlet Contacto, Easyjet will suspend all flights between Luxembourg and Lisbon from 11 January to 7 February 2027. The last flight before the break will depart on 10 January.
The airline says this is a seasonal adjustment and that it regularly changes its capacity depending on demand. After the festive season, that particular route has fewer passengers, it explained. The decision is said to not be linked to fuel costs.
The connection will be reprised in February, in time for the half-term holiday. EasyJet says it expects more passengers to travel between Luxembourg and Portugul at Carnival, Easter and over the summer.
This suspension comes at a time when several airlines have already revised their winter schedules to Portugal. Ryanair had also reduced its winter programme and warned of potential fare increases. Despite these adjustments, overall demand remains strong: Porto was the top destination from Findel Airport in 2024, followed by Lisbon, a trend that is expected to continue according to available industry data.
