Several people reported longer waits for their PCR laboratory results around the Pentecost/Whitsun public holidays, leading to delayed or cancelled trips abroad.
The laboratory in question, Laboratoire Réunies, said they had experienced higher than usual demand ahead of the holiday weekend, which meant they had to adjust their capacity in order to send results within the 48 hour window. However, the company highlighted that the reason for delays in results were mostly due to customers giving incorrect phone numbers, or issues with their mobile phones.
