Businesses in the construction sector can continue applying for partial unemployment until May and June if they meet certain demands.

The measure has been extended due to the fact that there is a shortage of building materials. The decision was announced on Wednesday. Some 31,342 employees are expected to be affected by the measure.

4,029 businesses were approved for part-time work, around 250 fewer than during the previous month. Furthermore, 27 businesses have been subjected to economic, social, and financial review processes, as they applied for additional support measures, such as redundancy programmes.
