Belgian Minister of the Environment, Marie Christine Marghem, was irritated and even spoke of a serious diplomatic incident.
This was reported by news agency Belga on Tuesday evening.
The Belgian minister stated that she did not understand why her Luxembourgish counterpart Carole Dieschbourg went public with this issue before contacting the Belgian federal authorities.
Marghem went on to say that this was a disinformation campagne aimed at defaming the Belgian authorities.
According to the Belgian minister, a specific location for the nuclear waste storage has not yet been defined. She stressed that all legislation will be respected.
