The incident, involving a collision between a truck and a car, occurred shortly after 6pm on Wednesday 24 April, between Diekirch and Stegen, in the north of the country.
Initial reports state that there are two wounded, one very serious.
The Luxembourg Air Rescue helicopter was mobilised to assist in the treatment of the injured at the crash site.
The road was closed to traffic in the immediate aftermath of the collision.
