RTL Today - Reckange-sur-Mess: 1,000 kilos of waste collected on "World Cleanup Day"

Located in the south-east of the country, Reckange-sur-Mess is the first municipality to participate in World Cleanup Day.

On Saturday morning, some 70 people gathered in Reckange to collect 1,000 kilos of waste in the streets and trails of their municipality, as well as along the creeks.

The organisers hope that in 2019 more municipalities or Luxembourg associations will join in, in what has become a historic effort: throughout the world, some 14 million people have contributed to make the planet a bit cleaner.
