Two cars were involved in a head-on collision. One car, coming from the Fridhaff direction, was driving in the wrong lane of the tree-lane road when the collision took place.
The driver of that car could not be saved and died from the forceful impact of the collision. According to police reports from Wednesday evening, the driver was 25 years old.
The driver and a passenger of the other car were both injured and were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The N7 was closed down following the crash. A deviation was set up, rerouting traffic via Lipperscheid, the N27 and then across the CR320 back to the N7.
