The plot revolves around a troupe of actors on a disastrous provincial tour with a mediocre farce titled Nothing On. As the play progresses, we get to witness the chaos and mishaps that occur on stage and backstage during the rehearsals and performances, including flubbed lines, misplaced props, malfunctioning set pieces, romantic entanglements, and personal rivalries.
