1. Visit Émaischen market in Nospelt

Technically only taking place on Monday, but now also from Saturday! The famous Éimaischen festival is back. Dating back to at least 1827, these craft markets feature pottery and ceramics. Among the most popular items at the market are small bird-shaped terracotta whistles known as Péckvillercher. Since their appearance varies each year, people queue up first thing in the morning to get their hands on these coveted collectibles. 2. Get tickets to indie and rock festival

OOTC is coming back in 2025 to Kulturfabrik for its 20th anniversary edition. For all fans of punk, indie, rock and shoegaze. Line-up features Karate (US), Los Bitchos (UK), Marathon (NL), Péniche (FR) and Waffle Killers (LU), just to mention a few. Here's our interview with organiser Nic.

3. Grab a drink under the Gëlle Fra

What: Music, drinks, DJs, games and views

This April the iconic square in the heart of Luxembourg City is decorated with flowers, custom street furniture, a pétanque court, live music stage and catering stands. Relax with a beautiful view across the Grund, and don't miss out on DJs Andrew Martin and DJ Lovesnake on Friday, and concerts by Emily Grogan, Nea Leone and Naomi Ayé on Saturday.

4. See vintage vehicles in Echternach

What: All built in 1998 or earlier
Where: Echternach market square

Rev up your Easter Sunday plans! Classic car lovers are invited to a vibrant showcase of vintage vehicles, tractors and motorcycles on the city square – all built in 1998 or earlier. No registration needed – just show up and take part. Participants, please arrive no earlier than 10am and follow the organisers’ directions on site.

5. Watch The Temptation of Christ

What: Religious drama

Jesus, played by Willem Dafoe, is drawn into revolutionary action against the Roman occupiers by Judas – despite his protestations that love, not violence, is the path to salvation. The burden of being the saviour of mankind torments Jesus throughout his life, leading him to doubt. As he is put to death on the cross, Jesus is tempted by visions of an ordinary life married to Mary Magdalene.

6. Walk in the footsteps of the Romans

What: Beautiful historic hike
Where: 3 Rue Aloyse Kayser, 3852 Schifflange

Discover he history of Schifflange on the trail Um Réimerwee (On the Romans' path). Walking in the Romans' footsteps you'll not only come across a former Roman military camp but also several churches, and natural scenery that has been shaped by the mining past. Information about the different sites is explained on boards scattered along the way. The trail is 9.5km long.

7. Hear the National Youth Wind Orchestra

Experience the vibrant sound of Luxembourg’s finest young talent as the National Youth Wind Orchestra, under the baton of François Schammo, presents a dynamic concert featuring works by Otto M. Schwarz, Gilbert Tinner, Jacob de Haan, and more. With 70 gifted musicians aged 13 to 21, the orchestra brings together the country's top youth performers for a powerful evening of wind music. This internationally touring ensemble showcases the bright future of Luxembourg's music scene.
