You've already got the monthly What's On picks for family, but it's time you get the low-down. Here are our top favourites for this week!

While this week starts off slow, it's a pumped up weekend!

Friday

Get ready for Bach in the Subways, the event that brings free mini-concerts throughout the city and at Villa Vauban by Luxembourgish vocal and instrumental ensembles.

Saturday

Here's a legendary movie to get the weekend going! Cinémathèque is showing School of Rock. Recommended for kids age 10 and up, this film stars Jack Black as the cool substitute teacher who decides to enroll his class in a rock competition!

Get your child involved in art in the best possible way, by exploring it together! Mudam is hosting a guided family tour specifically for families and children aged 6 and over.

Sunday

Another exciting event is taking place on Sunday, Mudam is hosting a discovery day for families with children living with autism spectrum disorders. These thirty-minute guided tours offer a chance to explore the museum at your family's own pace, while accommodating to any specific needs along the way. Be sure to contact them early to get in on the action.

Escher Theater is putting on a performance of D’Prinzessin op der Ierbes. Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale The Princess and the Pea will come to life with music, drawings, and quirky objects. It answers some important questions like, what if the prince had to take the pea test instead? And what if the princess didn't want to marry the prince? This playful show will be in Luxembourgish and is perfect for children between 4 and 8 years of age.

What's the best way to finish off the week? Queen Extravaganza! It takes place on Sunday evening at the den Atelier. If your kid can't get enough of Freddie Mercury, here is their chance to sing along to the biggest hits like We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and the phenomenal anthem Bohemian Rhapsody.
