Kids Movers dance workshop at Banannefabrik
As part of the programme Nouveaux·elles Créateur·rice·s, choreographers Alicia Cano and Benoît Callens invite children to take part in Kids Movers, a creative dance workshop for ages 10 to 14.
Drawing inspiration from their duet Échos infinis – revisité, the workshop explores movement through connection with others, the group, and music. After a gentle warm-up to build trust and awaken the body, participants will be guided through playful exercises such as walks, counterbalances, and partner work. The session ends with a guided improvisation set to live music by Corentin Piquard, from which a short collective choreography may emerge.
Designed as a joyful and hands-on experience, Kids Movers encourages children to discover their own creative expression while sharing the moment with friends, siblings, or peers. Participation also gives access to a reduced-price ticket for the evening performance by Alicia and Benoît.
Suitable for children aged 10 to 14, no prior dance experience required.
