Discover Luxembourg's literary home with guided tours of the National Library:

The Bibliothèque nationale du Luxembourg (BnL) invites the public to explore its collections and hidden spaces through a series of guided tours.

Participants will gain insight into the library’s mission, daily operations and architectural design, with exclusive access to normally restricted areas such as the storage facilities.

Highlights include the chance to see rare items from the special collections at close range.
The tours are designed to offer an informative introduction to the role of the BnL in preserving and promoting Luxembourg's cultural heritage.

Intergenerational tour for children and their grandparents:

Mudam Luxembourg, Musée d'Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean, invites children aged 6-12 to discover the museum’s exhibitions in the company of their grandparents.

Led in English, this interactive guided tour encourages young visitors to explore contemporary art in a playful way, while sharing the experience with their grandparents.

Learn all about Luxembourg in the Middle Ages in this family-friendly immersive tour:

The Luxembourg City Museum invites children and their parents to discover this fascinating period together using models, charters, and archaeological artefacts from the museum’s permanent exhibition.

The visit continues outdoors with a guided exploration of the archaeological crypt on rue de la Reine, where the medieval city fortifications from the 12th century still stand.

Thursday, 21 August

Meet ostriches (and cows) at Luxembourg's only ostrich farm:

Discover the Straussefarm in Contern in this hands-on family outing where children and adults can observe both large and small ostriches up close.

The experience includes a guided tour, a tasting, and a look inside the modern milking barn – where cows (not ostriches!) are part of the fun too.
