From fencing and flamenco to space science and storytelling, Luxembourg offers a packed week of activities for families.

Monday, 15 September

The Luxembourg Fencing Federation opens its new season of épée training on 15 September, welcoming both experienced fencers and complete beginners.

Led by Maître Michel Colling and Maître Victor Szombathy, the programme offers twice-weekly sessions for young people and adults at the Centre National d’Escrime.

New members are encouraged to join, and trial sessions are available without equipment.

Tuesday, 16 September

Reading with dogs

Children aged 7 to 12 are invited to take part in a special reading session with a trained dog – an activity shown to boost confidence and make reading more enjoyable.

Alongside reading aloud, the programme includes interactive games involving the dog. Participants must be accompanied by a trusted adult.

Wednesday, 17 September

The Prague Parent-Child Programme (PEKiP) offers weekly sessions for babies and their families, focusing on early development through play, movement, and stimulation.

From the 8th week of life until their first birthday, babies – together with parents or grandparents – take part in age-grouped activities led by certified instructors in a relaxed environment where they can move freely.

Thursday, 18 September

Flamenco Luxembourg a.s.b.l. offers a dedicated programme for children aged 9 to 12, combining movement, rhythm, and choreography in a playful introduction to flamenco dance.

Weekly sessions include body awareness, coordination, zapateados, palmas, walking, turns, and choreography, followed by a cool down.

Friday, 19 September

Journey to Space!

Kids Life Skills and OQ Technology invite children and parents to step into the world of satellites and space science with a hands-on STEM adventure in Leudelange.

The free afterschool session takes place inside a working telecom lab, combining interactive demonstrations with a behind-the-scenes tour. Children will explore how satellites and Direct-to-Cell technology connect the world, while parents are introduced to Kids Life Skills’ upcoming programmes.

Saturday, 20 September

Family day

Grevenmacher will host a family day in the town centre, with activities and entertainment for all ages.

Organised by Visit Maacher, the event takes place along the Grand-Rue and invites families to spend the day together in the heart of the Moselle town.

Sunday, 21 September

Magical Moments: Minett Family Visit 

Minett Park invites families to follow the path of wonders with Moments Magiques, a storytelling walk blending nature, biodiversity, and imagination.

Guided by a storyteller, participants discover local wildlife and legends of Dame Nature on a journey that combines environmental discovery with folktales.

Parent baby story workshop

Art à Miss 57 hosts a playful parent–baby workshop introducing everyday signs through stories and rhymes.

The session helps parents and babies explore signs related to emotions, activities, and the surrounding environment in a relaxed, interactive setting.
