You've already got the monthly What's On picks for family, but it's time you get the low-down. Here are our top favorites of the week!

Another week, another list of things to do with your family!

Throughout the week

Since Monday doesn't have much going on, let's take this moment instead to discuss an event that will be happening throughout the week! Lux Film Fest.

It's got plenty of kid-friendly options, so it's definitely worth taking a look at the schedule to catch some movies, short films, or workshops with your family. Some specific events or movies to watch out for include Crazy Cinématographe for Kids, a workshop where kids will re–enact a famous special effects creator's film tricks, or Flow, the Oscar–wining film for best animated feature from 2025.

Tuesday

For Tuesday, Die Waldwichtel event lets you explore the Kockelscheuer forest with your children and interact directly with the plants, birds, and beetles. Get ready for games and songs in Luxembourgish as you venture into the wilderness together.

Otherwise, visit the Musée d'Histoire[s] of Diekirch for the Dos Bandidos – Wanted event. Go on a journey through the Wild West as you're guided by two mischievous mice.

Thursday

Let's skip ahead to Thursday where the Rotondes welcomes you to their show, Play. This event takes part of the Lux Film Fest, and it presents ten short animated films made by students in Animation Design. Just to keep things extra interesting, musicians Florence Kraus and Grégoire Terrier will mix sound effects to each movie live.

Surprise, surprise, we've got another Lux Film Fest event for you! At the MUDAM, Chimeras in Movement is a workshop where children can learn all about stop motion animation and make their own chimera – a mythical beast made up of different animal parts.

The Zeltik festival begins on Thursday and goes on until Sunday, and it's the perfect way to celebrate culture this week. It's bigger and better than ever, and it'll feature lively performances and unforgettable experiences. Thursday kicks off the festivities with an evening concert at St. Martin Church in Dudelange.

Friday

There are still tickets left to go watch Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark at the Philharmonie! Not only do you get to watch this thrilling movie, but you'll get to listen to the Luxembourg Philharmonic accompany it too. Tickets sell out fast, so be sure to snag the last ones now. It'll be showing in English with French subtitles.

Don't forget to go enjoy the Zeltik festival. From Friday to Sunday, the festival moves to Opderschmelz

Saturday

Are your little ones interested in building? Why not slip into the shoes of an architect at LUCA, Luxembourg Center for Architecture. The Modular Architectures workshop teaches kids about collective spaces and living together and introduces drawing and models through play.

Yes, I know I've already mentioned the Zeltik festival, but on Saturday a band called the Red Hot Chilli Pipers are playing, and that must be mentioned.

Sunday

Sunday is the last day of the Lux Film Fest as well as of the Zeltik festival, but there are still other things to do too.

Visit the Casino for their English storytelling tour. The Red Thread will take kids on a magical journey through the work of Eva L'Hoest where they will discover hidden stories and playful surprises.
