You've already got the monthly What's On picks for family, but it's time you get the low-down. Here are our top favorites of the week!
It’s time for another weekly What’s On for families, but this time, we are delivering it to you with a twist! So instead of getting a weekly list along with your monthly list, each week you'll get some hand-picked top events that might interest you and your family. We know how tough choosing can be, so we’re here to make life easier! So instead of spending all of that time 'deciding,' you can spend it 'going.'
So starting with Monday (a.k.a. today!) there's only one event to report! But it's a good one. At the CAPE in Ettelbruck, you can watch Emil und die Detektive! This German play Emil must figure out who took his suitcase in order to find his small fortune that was stored inside!
On Tuesday, there's another German theatrical performance you won't want to miss. La Rasa Tabu is taking place at Mierscher Theater, and it asks questions about what keeps us from dealing openly with our weaknesses. It does so in a fun humorous way that involves acting, dancing, and even a ghost.
Let's skip ahead to Thursday where you and your child can learn how to sew, crochet, and embroider to create your own European flag. This workshop is set up by the Mamie et Moi asbl who bring people together in this creative community, no previous experience is required!
Surprisingly, Friday has no family events for now, probably so that parents are free to go out and enjoy Valentine's Day. Moving on to Saturday, get ready for carnival by making your own carnival mask in this workshop at Kulturhaus Niederanven.
And then comes Sunday, a perfect day for a movie with the family. Cinémathèque is showing the film Pünktchen und Anton. It's a heart-warming story about two children, one rich and one poor, helping one another through life's challenges. It'll be shown in it's original German version.
Or perhaps your family prefers checking out a museum on Sunday? MUDAM is hosting a child-friendly guided tour in French, made especially for children aged 6 and over.
Want to plan ahead for the rest of the month? Check out all of the events happening in February, and we'll update you next Monday with next week's top events!
So much to do this week – let us know where you’ll be heading!
