Welcome to our brand new family-focused event guides

Our weekly 'What's On' guide to the weekend has been a long-running favourite with RTL Today's readers, but one thing it's not been very good for is families. Yes, a lot of the events covered are suitable for families as well, but we all know that keeping kids entertained often requires a rather different approach to simply finding events at which they are technically allowed.

That's why, as part of launching our brand new 'Family Matters' section, we are also introducing a brand new version of our event guide - without further ado, let us acquaint you with What's On: FamilyEdition!

While our regular What's On focuses on the weekend and is released on a Thursday, the Family Edition will go a step further (not least since planning for the whole family often requires a bit more time). There are two versions of Family Edition, one is released weekly and focuses on events and happenings coming up in the next seven days. The second takes a monthly view, and lets you plan several weeks in advance.

There will of course be overlap between these two, and you shouldn't be surprised to see mention of events in the weekly guide that have previously been covered in the monthly edition; but the weekly guides will also contain further events which didn't make it into our monthly edition, so do check both!
