Are you palms sweaty ahead of the new thrilling Star Wars movie? Or worried Christmas won’t bring enough liquor? What if you’re really into live music but you’re worried about what to do during holiday season? Put aside your worries this weekend, because The Rise of Skywalker is out, a real Christmas pub crawl is bouncing around the Grund, and plenty of live concerts are there to warm your souls or shuffle your feet. Also, this weekend is definitely a highlight for the little ones.

1. Scala: Defying gravity in an acrobatic spectacle

What: Moments of “what?” and “how?”
Where: Rockhal, 5 Avenue du Rock’n’Roll
When: Saturday 21 December (2pm)
Tickets & information: €12/€20/€35 on event website

If you’ve seen the trailer below then you may have shared the same nauseous sensations as your author. First, how are are those floppy chairs and tables able to fall like that? And second, how are they put back together in a split second?

Yoann Bourgeois is the man behind Scala, which will be presented at Rockhal this Saturday at 2pm. What to expect? Eight acrobats, both actors and dancers, throw themselves into a misleading scenography. Defying gravity and conventional theory in every way, the decor falls, moves and reconstructs itself like some strange domino cascade. It’s supposed to be misleading, so prepare for your mind to be blown!

Anyways, they are always great fun! Five bars are taking part in the Grund area this year, and the event is set to attract a lot of international people. On a more serious note, many expats spend the Christmas days alone, so this is a great way to get together with friends and colleagues and meet new peeps.

The evening works as follows: wear your ugliest Christmas sweater and join for one hour in each bar. The bars taking part are: Scott’s pub (8:30pm), Oscars Bar (9:30pm), Uewerbayern (10:30pm), Updown Bar (11:30pm) and Apoteca (12:30am). Fee is €10 for the event, and this includes 5 tokens and 5 free shots, plus free entrance to the last club.

The Grand Vizier needs Aladdin to get the lamp for him, but the latter is busy with other things: love, namely with the beautiful princess Jalaila. How can the Grand Vizier be defeated?
