Recorded LIVE at this year's Pukkelpop, one of Unison Life's standout tracks gets a whole new set of feels.

Do us a favour, please, if you don't mind, can you give 7 minutes of your time. Even if you are unfamiliar with the astonishing Belgian trio, Brutus, and give this a listen.

It's no secret that alternative, nee, rock music gels well with a full orchestra (thank you Metallica), but rarely is it quite as emotional as this.

The version recorded this summer is perhaps now THE definitive one - and it is a wonder that host of LOUDER, Stephen 'Steps' Lowe has managed to get any work done since pressing play on it last week.

The performance, alongside the formidable The Atomic Orchestra (a 45-piece Belgian collective) has gone down incredibly well online. Stefanie Mannaerts vocals are never better and the swells lift an already emotional piece onto a whole other level entirely. Peter Mulders and Stijn Vanhoegaerden add their signature colours and groove as a rapt crowd go nuts.

We reached out to the band to ask if this was a prelude to a full orchestra project, as we know this tour from the three-piece is the end of the promotional cycle for 'lockdown' record Unison Life. Alas, Peter confirmed that this was "just a one off song project".

The full show can be viewed here and includes guest appearances from Selah Sue, Yong Yellow, Warhaus, Glints and Blackwave.

We announced the show earlier this year and will have a ticket competition launching soon. Keep your eyes peeled.

Before the concert, check out the interview between Brutus and Today Radio's Stephen (Steps) Lowe on the Lunchbox and Song 2.
