Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.
8,124 tests were conducted over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 12% for the weekend as a whole. The positivity rate for Sunday was 9.14%.
There were 71 cases reported on Monday, 283 cases on Sunday and 323 cases on Saturday.
No new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, leaving the total death toll in the Grand Duchy at 862.
There are 36 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, down six from the last update, with 10 patients in intensive care, one more than in the last update.
As of Friday, there are 3,332 active infections in Luxembourg, while 82,443 people have recovered from the virus.
As of yesterday, the R rate is at 1.19, up from 1.15.
443,667 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 877,115 doses have been administered in total. 425,158 people are fully vaccinated.
